up there by the structure lifting all your brains up to the creamy orange sky that made our hearts fall you didn’t need to tell me then you don’t need to tell me now i don’t believe in anything unless i can feel it under the waves under the stars counting the ways into your heart down there in the water where the pretty lights glow touched you like a lover glistening wet with blue hope up there in the bedroom where our nightly blood flowed only just to wake us for another love show you didn’t need to tell me then you don’t need to tell me now i don’t believe in anything unless i can feel it under the waves under the stars counting the ways into your heart every day playing my part counting the ways into your heart

out in the waves where the water flows freely vermillion haze I can feel you beneath me a million ways to get lost lost in your love under the rays of the setting sun it's getting late but there’s no need to run another day so lost lost in your love we’re at the apex of our days worried our lives are halfway gone but as the seasons flux and fade oh my darlin’ we’re still having fun at the end of the day there’s a power between us it’s hard to say but this feeling is real love come closer babe let me get lost lost in your love you are the warm note in a chord pink underbelly of a cloud feel the vibrations of our sound oh my darlin’ look at what we’ve found we’re at the apex of our days worried our lives are halfway gone but as the seasons flux and fade oh my darlin’ we’re still having fun

we spent all day looking at fish in the aquarium I was sick and you took care of me how you cried at the water show dolphins found a home imagine me imagine you me on dry land you in a pool we were back in Chicago great american novel remember that first shower hot water in the dark alone always a friend but never a lover we stumbled cold along the shores of lake michigan i almost fell on the ice there how you told me to take it slow my god you’re my only home imagine me imagine you me on dry land you in a pool we were back in Chicago great american novel remember that first shower hot water in the dark alone always a friend but never a lover always a friend but never a lover and now I’m wondering if all my life i’ve been running from you

last night out on the sands at 1 am you took me by the hand remember what you said? ooh don’t you fall over ooh just think it over of all the different ways to go will we sink or float? will you try to let me in or will you build a moat? ooh don’t you fall over ooh just think it over why do I question you?

and now the bets are off just as the coin is tossed you and I both crying wildly outside Central Park I think you see my hand the way a word can land you’re a good bluff, baby but I know this stuff - this stuff is tough where do you wanna go? I wanna follow you til the end of days what do we have to lose? I think I’ll ride with you till the end of days sometimes it's hard to see just when to fold and leave I have tried and tried a million times to be where I am but now i hear the band they’re playing “Promised Land” I am smart enough to know that when it’s time to go you run where do you wanna go? I wanna follow you til the end of days what do we have to lose? I think I’ll ride with you till the end of days I see a blip on the horizon but your eyes and winds of change are all I need to steer me clean from stormy seas which would you rather be: an anchor or a sea? maybe a strong blue wave for now we rest our doom I see a pale green moon another live-long day another sweet charade the thought of breaking out of such an ugly place yes, you and and I end of days

you’ve got a poster of a lady in a champagne glass she hangs on the wall by the piano like a party guest I’ll come alive whenever she comes alive I’ll come alive whenever she comes alive we were outside doing squats on the porch at night all of our friends were inside doing shots instead I’ll breathe in deep when you tell me to sit everything you say has some meaning under it I’ve been in love with you for years your hands on my shoulders all of my knots melt away I’ve been in love with you for years I spend my time waiting instead of creating anything I’ve been in love with you for years you hands on my shoulders all of my knots melt away I’ve been in love with you for years the crimson horizon I thought would enlighten couldn’t be seen behind the trees will you sit in the middle of the room as I stand here watching through the eyes of another will you stay to play another tune and I will listen to all of your colors there are things I cannot tell you more than a friend, less than a lover what I try to hide my body lets through thanks Alexander, I can relax now

I’m all alone upstate and I’m fading you’re with your friends in Brooklyn getting wasted I’ll never know what you said in the stairwell by the exit but I know who you’re spending your summer with babe, I’ve seen it on the internet how far do I have to go I’m wondering how far do I have to go I would drive by myself in the middle of the night babe just to make you feel like you really need me I’d walk into that room of your strange friends embarrass you to death I was covered in light I was lit up by bright ideas all alone in the dark someone ripped it apart I was living in endless fear take me one more time around the bend I’ve got stuff to say I’ve never said in the summer when we’ve lost our sense of one another take me to your room weave me through the loom just warn me before you leave me how far do I have to go I’m wondering how far do I have to go if we trapped our hearts inside a glass refrigerate them till the winter’s passed in 7 years when we’re well and wise maybe you and I could be revived I was covered in light I was lit up by bright ideas all alone in the dark someone ripped it apart I was living in endless fear take me one more time around the bend I’ve got stuff to say I’ve never said in the summer when we’ve lost our sense of one another take me to your room weave me through the loom then raise me up real high above us waving vibes we were in love once don’t be cruel baby, I’m your fool

rain like tin foil in the street light golden like your hair the way you don’t treat me right I don’t care I lie down with my face in the ground and I stare I’m just a man I love where I can I love where I am but lover, where are you? so I lie down with my face in the ground and I stare I’m just a man I love where I can I love where I am lover, where are you? are you covered in vines drowning in wine barley and sage crumbs on the page lover, where are you? are you leather and sheets unopened mouths that don’t speak on rooftop in harlem spread eagle to the night taking flight lover, where are you?

bring a net cast a line I almost caught you from behind but the timing wasn’t right oh my fish you always swim and invite me to jump in to embrace my slippery skin I wanna see where the light you gave to me could grow in the air taking flight I couldn’t ease my dizzy mind so I took comfort in your rhymes is this place real or a myth among the evergreens and mist do you remember that first kiss how we’ll start to feel it now I wanna see where the light you gave to me could grow underneath all this spirling into me and I’ll breathe but it’s hard to let it show we’re riding in the waves now we’re overflowing love

the fog lifts the morning kiss your body so far away my body feels like today and it’s cold in here this small arena of the mind but it’s fine it’s mine still I throw off the covers and feel beautiful and bold alright ‘bout time I want you sneaking up behind me wrapping everything around me make me feel small and bright young lust love fight just spit no bites the night time the right time holy bodies start dance destiny or happenstance it’s getting warmer now and your skin is glowing bright I’m on fire you’re all mine if we are just two passing creatures in the night in this life all in time come fly with me we’ll dine at least three or four times a week and after long days on the south face we’ll heal each other's bodies with our hands our hands our hands our hands time melts away you’re here to stay I want you sneaking up behind me wrapping everything around me make me feel small and bright young lust love fight just spit no bites come fly with me we’ll dine at least three or four times a week and after long days on the south face we’ll heal each other's bodies with our hands our hands our hands our hands

I’ve been trying it out but my heart is unsettled wake me up when all is done call me up to have some fun win a silver medal there’s new ways to go can we move towards something cleaner? it was sudden it was clear unannounced and free of fear: I don’t have to hold on I was feeling tired cooped up and uninspired but now I’m feeling ready now I’m feeling steady so, where do you wanna go? oh I don’t know, someplace where we can grow (never alone!) or are we here already? (finding a home!) is this the only way we could be? interlaced in all your pages like never before we’re gonna make it through the ages so sudden and warm something reborn
